Community
There is nothing better than a daily walk along the River Torrens with man’s best friend – my dog.
There are just so many advantages including getting fit (for both dog and human), but the social aspects of meeting and greeting other people can not be under-estimated. The daily changing scenery of the river and surrounding areas is a privilege to see. The strength and severity of the river after a downpour is impressive and the impact of he recent drought and low water levels was concerning. Living so close to the river, neighbourhood conversations always include comments about the river - another true friend.

We’ve just recently moved into the Norwood area after leaving Sydney. Norwood has everything we’re looking for such as parks and playgrounds for our little girl and also plenty of cafes and restaurants. And being so close to the city makes it easy to get to work.

hey! i don’t know if im writing in the right area but my friend recently posted about a thing they do in colombia where every sunday they fence off one section of the road and leave it open for community recreation like bike riding and and skating and generally just hanging out on the street. i would love it if something like that started here! and everyone looked very happy…

a lot of people are talking about ‘shared spaces’ and there is a big movement world wide to ‘reclaim’ the streets
